Earn College Credit with Industry Recognized Credentials
Your certificate or license may be worth college credit! Maricopa Community College students are eligible to receive credit for certifications and licenses. The credit awarded is based on competencies demonstrated through the successful attainment of the credential, and the credential must be verifiable through a third party company that has the authority to issue that credential. Please note that possible time constraints, your chosen program of study, and your current enrollment status may affect the evaluation. See a list of qualifying credentials by clicking the “Search Credentials” button above. You can either search by keyword, or click “Search” to see the full list of qualifying credentials.
Evaluation Process
This credit is awarded through a Credit by Evaluation process. The form can either be obtained next to the appropriate credential under “Search Credentials” above, or through the Admissions and Records Department at the applicable campus. Students should submit the form at the campus offering the specified degree or program. Prior to credit being awarded, students should be admitted to that college with the specified degree or program listed as their declared major. There is no fee to award this credit.
Standard decisions are recorded in our Transfer Evaluation System (TES) under “Industry Recognized Credential.” Please refer to TES for additional information.
If your credential is not listed, please work with your Admissions and Records Department to obtain guidance on the evaluation process.
